Your vote will decide India's Most loved bird

March's theme is India's Most loved bird.

“India’s Most Loved Bird” is a Nature Forever Society initiative, where nature lovers from across the country will decide by voting which is the bird that India loves the Most.

The aim of the campaign is to create awareness about the rich bird life in our country. Of the 50 birds on display, some are extremely rare and endangered, while others are common.

Why we chose these Birds?

Voting Closes on 17th March. This Valentine's Day, fall in love with birds!

A great example of how the birds have adapted to the urbanization. The photographer has composed the image well showing the roosting of Pelicans on the wire and the transmission tower in the background. The image perfectly depicts the theme of the competition.

by Michale Nongthombam

The photographer has captured a great behavioral aspect of the ants here. Pretty crisp and sharp image which is well composed.

3rd Prize - Birds beside Apartments
by Lakshmi Annamalai

Another great example showing how the birds have adapted to the development happening in the cities. 4 different species on the same tree is not something we get to see regularly.
